Training
To provide training opportunities to able and willing students to achieve academic excellence comparable to the best in the Country and indeed the East African Community Region, on a consistent basis.
To provide opportunities to every student to enable them discover, exploit and develop their God given natural talents in Co-curricular activities(such as Games & Sport, Music, Drama, Debating etc) to full potential.
To establish a regular program for all students to learn real life skills(or soft skills) which should prepare them to face the challenges of life outside the school better.
To provide opportunities that expose students to situations or circumstances that would inspire them to far greater achievements than they would have thought possible and in the process hopefully inspire others as well.
Governance
To have a Governance Structure that incorporates a Board of Governors, the Directors of the School, the Parents Teachers Association and a School Management Committee with appropriate Terms of Reference.
To develop a Management Team that is competent, team oriented, knowledgeable, innovative and open minded and is able to effectively deliver on its mission on a sustainable basis.
To continuously review the state of Succession Planning in the light of the intense competitive environment for talented teachers and school managers in private schools in particular.
To have an appropriate and approved framework for Risk Management which is reviewed periodically to ensure its continued appropriateness for the school’s circumstances. This includes Compliance with Laws, Rules and Regulations relevant to the provision of Educational Services for a licensed school such as Dara Christian High School.
Financial
While the school is a non profit-making organisation, it must always aim to break even in its operations. It must always endeavour to generate adequate Revenues to cover its Recurrent Costs and meet costs of Expansion, Growth and Infrastructure Development.
Any realized Surpluses would be ploughed back to meet Capital costs of school Growth and Development; or invested in projects/activities which have the potential to generate additional funds for the school or enhance the long-term well-being of the school and its staff welfare.
The school Financial Resources and other assets of the school will be efficiently applied for the use of the school. Wasteful practices or behaviour will not be tolerated.
Spiritual Growth
To provide opportunities to the entire school community that encourage them to learn and adopt a life style in which God is Central.
To actively support the student body evangelistic and or Spiritual Growth related Missions both within and outside the school.
To teach students moral “uprightness” based on Biblical Principles and in so doing encourage them to adopt a strong sense of right and wrong to guide their individual lives in the way they should relate to others in and out of school.
Technology
To fully embrace the use of Technology in situations where its use will clearly result in increased efficiency, improved delivery of services to its customers and employees or some added advantage in dealing with the competition.
To actively encourage its employees to learn to use computing facilities in their work where this is possible.
Employees
To recruit new staff based on merit
To provide opportunities for continuous learning and skill development for its employees.
To review the terms of service and welfare of its employees on a regular basis and in any case at least once a year.
To closely link Performance based results to improved terms of service and welfare.
